Ratings firm Egan Jones cut its rating on Germany to double-A-minus from double-A Wednesday, noting that the country will be stuck paying much of the bill for the region’s debt crisis.
With the region’s debt crisis still strong, Germany’s position as one of the strongest in the group means its costs to support the region will increase, hurting its debt profile, the ratings firm said.
